NFL's Blandino admits refs blew batted-ball call

Dean Blandino, the NFL's head of officiating, admits that the referees botched the call at the end of the Seahawks' win over the Lions, when Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright intentionally batted the ball out of the end zone. Instead of flagging Wright for a penalty and giving the ball to the Lions inside the 1-yard line in a three-point game, the officials awarded the ball to Seattle and the Seahawks killed the clock.

After the game, once everyone realized the Lions were actually screwed out of a chance to win their first game of the season, Blandino appeared on NFL Network to explain what should have happened.
