It's time for one of the best days of the entire year: the first NFL Sunday. And on this first NFL Sunday, we'll see if Brock Purdy is the answer at quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.
Purdy is the unquestioned starter in San Francisco after the team traded away Trey Lance during training camp. Purdy, who is coming off an elbow issue, will need to prove his arm is good to go in Week 1.
On the other side, Kenny Pickett is looking to prove he's past last year's rookie jitters. Pickett and the Steelers looked excellent in preseason, scoring on every drive, but the 49ers won't make it that easy in Week 1.
