Sunday’s action began at 9:30 a.m. when the New Orleans Saints took a knee in solidarity before the anthem was played at their game against the Miami Dolphins in London, but it was three members of the Dolphins who went a step further and knelt during the anthem.
The Fox broadcast only showed the tail end of the Saints players kneeling, and by the time the pop star Darius Rucker was singing nearly all of the players on both teams were standing.
