Located almost directly centered between Blacksburg and Knoxville, Bristol Motor Speedway is the setting for this non-conference matchup. Both Virginia Tech and Tennessee won last week to start 1-0 on the young season, but the Hokies weren't truly tested against Liberty and the Volunteers needed overtime to defeat Appalachian State. Tennessee's reputation as a legitimate SEC contender might have taken a hit, but that doesn't discount the intriguing individual NFL prospects that has NFL scouts eager to see the Vols this season.
