The Carolina Panthers have hired Nathan Carroll as their new pass game coordinator, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The 36-year-old Carroll is the son of former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. He worked for the Seahawks from 2010-2023 in a variety of capacities, including wide receivers coach (2018-2021) and senior offensive assistant (2022-2023).
The elder Carroll's time with the Seahawks is over after team owner Jody Allen decided that a change at head coach was needed. That left the younger Carroll available to pursue other opportunities with the Seahawks hiring Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald as their new head coach.
