The Kansas City Chiefs are signing former Slippery Rock wide receiver Kyle Sheets, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.
Sheets originally signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft in April. He was waived by the Saints on Sunday.
The defending Super Bowl champions signed Sheets after a tryout Tuesday, the day prior to the opening of training camp for rookies and quarterbacks.
Sheets caught 76 passes for Slippery Rock in 2023, ranking third among all Division II players with 17 touchdown catches and sixth with 1,186 receiving yards.
