The New York Jets reportedly had no interest in including the final pick in the 2024 NFL draft in the trade that sent quarterback Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos this week.
Speaking Saturday on SportsCenter's draft coverage, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter said the Jets "insisted" on keeping the 257th and final pick in the seventh round of the draft.
That is also known as the "Mr. Irrelevant" pick. Since 1976, the final pick in the NFL draft has been heralded as "Mr. Irrelevant" and celebrated with "Irrelevant Week" in Newport Beach, California.
