The New York Jets head coaching head coaching position comes with some negative connotations.
Mike Sando of The Athletic reported that the Jets vacancy is viewed as the "toughest job" available due to the owner situation and the intense media market.
"This is seen as the toughest job because of an impulsive owner (Woody Johnson) and an unforgiving, relentless media market," Sando wrote. "The next coach also must figure out what to do at quarterback, where Aaron Rodgers remains under contract but could retire."
An executive also told Sando that the franchise's extensive interview list signals that the team does not have a clear path for the position.
