The Chicago Bears are prepared for Marcus Mariota if the Washington Commanders give him the start in Week 8.
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported that the Bears have "operated" with the thought that Mariota, not rookie Jayden Daniels, will be the Commanders starting quarterback on Sunday. Daniels suffered a rib injury in Week 7 and his status has not yet been determined for Week 8.
"The Bears have operated this week as though Mariota would be the likely starter," Jones wrote. "Sources say they view the offense as being similar no matter the quarterback, though Daniels offers a more dynamic option with both his feet and legs.
