N.F.L. Playoffs’ Powerful Survivors Have Their Weaknesses

The N.F.L.’s final four this season seems like a formidable group. For the first time since 2004, the top four seeds have advanced to the conference championship games. Among them, they have only 12 losses, the lowest total since that 2004 season, when the Steelers, the Falcons, the Eagles and the eventual champion Patriots had 11.

Yet despite their stellar records, all four teams this season have a surprisingly stubborn group of detractors. Here’s a first look at the matchups, and the possible Achilles’ heels of the N.F.L.’s elite:
