The move Justin Fields made to the New York Jets during the NFL's free agency frenzy in 2025 is well known.
NFL Network went behind the scenes and provided some context, including league insider Tom Pelissero. His report indicates that head coach Aaron Glenn played a part in convincing Fields.
"But the Jets had shown strong interest... and it made some sense," Pelissero said. "(Glenn) knows the athletic upside with Fields."
Fields ended up signing a two-year deal with the team after deciding to leave his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
