New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has been scrutinized for his rash decision to fire former head coach Robert Saleh last week, but many around the league reportedly have been criticizing him for years.
During an appearance on Scoop City, Mike Silver of The Athletic revealed that Johnson is not viewed favorably in league circles for his management of the Jets since becoming the team's owner in 2000.
"I admire his intentions, but I just think he's really bad at running an NFL team," Silver said around the 4:30 mark. "Actually, I don't think so, I know, and that's been proven over time.
