The future of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is uncertain after his benching last week, and some around the NFL are wondering if he could be on the move by next year.
An NFL executive told ESPN's Stephen Holder that the Colts could choose to trade Richardson if he's unable to solidify himself as the starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
"I think [Richardson] will be there next year, and they'll try to start him but have a backup or bridge [QB] they believe can take over if it doesn't work," the executive said before adding that if Richardson fails at that point, he would likely be traded.
