After traveling countless miles this spring, Vernon Butler is ready for the NFL Draft to finally arrive.
"I’m anxious, really, to tell the truth," Butler told Omnisport Friday.
The Louisiana Tech defensive tackle has two more flights to take. He is leaving his home in Louisiana Tuesday morning with his parents and two older sisters to fly to Chicago for Thursday’s NFL Draft.

Once he’s drafted, he’ll then hop on another plane to join his new team. Butler said he’s traveled "from the West Coast to the East Coast" and his frequent flier miles are "looking good.
