It looks like Cam Ward may have the early edge over Shedeur Sanders in the bid to be the first quarterback off the board in April's NFL draft.
Matt Miller of ESPN released his updated top 50 prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday and listed Ward as the No. 1 quarterback and No. 12 overall prospect. He reported that multiple scouts view Ward as the top quarterback available and that his attributes and experience put him ahead of the pack:
Ward has taken an elite jump since transferring from Washington State.
