Mike Vrabel has never played or coached in the NFC, but the Rams could change that if they're serious about the former NFL linebacker as a candidate for their vacant head coaching position.
Los Angeles has been granted permission to interview Vrabel for the job, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.
Vrabel, who serves as the Texans' linebackers coach, was busy preparing for Houston's AFC divisional playoff game in New England. Los Angeles planned to interview him after that game, according to the report.

As for Vrabel's candidacy, John McClain, who covers the Texans for the Houston Chronicle, thinks highly of him.
