NFL believes time for Deflategate settlement talk has come and gone, report says

The NFL doesn't see any reason for re-entering settlement talks with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and the players' union regarding his Deflategate-related suspension, ESPN.com reported, citing an unidentified league source.

The league is basing its stance on two things: a federal appeals court earlier this week upheld Brady's four-game suspension, and neither the quarterback's camp nor the NFL Players Association has shown a reason to resume settlement talks.

The NFL, according to ESPN's source, believes the time for those talks has come and gone. The sides talked for several months last summer but were unable to reach a settlement.
