The NFL reportedly filed a motion in U.S. District Court on Friday in hopes of having a special investigator appointed to oversee attorneys representing the players who agreed to a $1 billion settlement with the league over concussions.
According to the Associated Press, the league "cited an independent study that recommended denying more than 400 claims because of fraud, including schemes by lawyers and medical personnel working with former players."
