New Orleans owns the Super Bowl, but the NFL doesn't care

New Orleans has hosted 10 of the 50 Super Bowls. But it seems like until the Saints no longer call the current Superdome home, the Crescent City won't be getting another Super Bowl.

As the NFL plays the game of forcing its cities to get expensive new or like-new stadiums before reconsidering them for the biggest game of all, it's forgetting that New Orleans is its best Super Bowl city beyond compare.

New Orleans is in the running for one of three future Super Bowls that will be announced at Tuesday's NFL meeting in Charlotte, N.C., but it has no chance.
