New evidence in murder of Michael Jordan’s father could result in new trial

Claims of misleading testimony and misconduct by the prosecutor and jury in the murder trial of Michael Jordan's father could result in a new trial nearly 20 years later.

According to The Charlotte Observer, attorneys for convicted murderer Daniel Green have long argued that Green was not present when James Jordan died during a carjacking and now have the evidence to challenge the case.

The lawyers claim that Green was in a different location when the elder Jordan died, but he did help get rid of the body and drive Jordan’s car, making him an accessory after the crime, not a murderer.
