New England Patriots cut two well-known second stringers

The New England Patriots have cut two prominent second stringers — losing a total of 60 catches and 774 receiving yards from last season.

New England on Wednesday released wide receiver Brandon LaFell and tight end Scott Chandler, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

LaFell, 29, caught 37 passes for 515 yards during the 2015 regular season.
