There was a scramble for a loose ball under the basket as time — and Cincinnati’s season — slipped away. The comeback, the upset, was complete. And it was officially Bloody Sunday for the top seeds in the N.C.A.A. men’s basketball tournament.
The stunning loss by the No. 2 seeded Bearcats, who were up 22 with 10 minutes to play over seventh-seeded Nevada, was only the latest in a bracket-upending day, which saw North Carolina and Michigan State also get upset by lower seeds.
None of the games ended with buzzer-beaters, but there was still plenty of drama.
