NBC to NASCAR fans: We feel your pain about rain-delayed races, channel switches

NASCAR fans expressed frustration with NBC Sports when it shifted the rained-out Sprint Cup race at Bristol to financial network CNBC last Sunday.

So we asked NBC to explain why it shifted the repeatedly postponed Bristol race to the Wall Street-oriented CNBC from NBCSN. Even if some of them couldn't find CNBC on their TV dial.

NBC's response: We feel your pain NASCAR viewers.

Look, it's natural for frustrated viewers to grouse on social media when they're forced to channel-hop across the dial to find their race, said NBC executives.

But the quadrennial TV event known as the Olympics — which involved 6,700 hours of coverage across multiple channels in Rio this year — is over and done.
