One-time NBA All-Star and 2019 champion Fred VanVleet has agreed to a three-year, $130 million contract with the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The contract marks the NBA's first max deal of the free agency period.
The Raptors moved swiftly to replace reload in their backcourt, agreeing with former Los Angeles Laker Dennis Schröder to a two-year, $26 million contract, per Wojnarowski.
VanVleet, 29, averaged 19.3 points (39/34/90 shooting splits), 7.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 36.7 minutes over 69 games for the Raptors last season.
