The start of the Sprint Cup Duck race at Texas Motor Speedway has been delayed while NASCAR attempts to complete drying of the track.
The race was originally scheduled to start at 7:46 p.m. ET, airing on Fox. NASCAR officials said the track drying could take up to an hour, according to ESPN.

Rain fell at the track intermittently throughout the afternoon and track-drying efforts appeared to be making process at the scheduled start time.
Carl Edwards will start from the pole position in the first Saturday night race of the season.
