NASCAR drivers ready to slip and slide with new rules package

NASCAR couldn't have asked for a better track to debut its 2016 low-downforce package than Atlanta Motor Speedway for this weekend's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

The old, rough and weathered surface of the 1.54-mile Georgia track is known for its multiple grooves that foster exciting side-by-side racing.

And new for the full 2016 season — at tracks other than Daytona and Talladega — every Cup team will have to create a car with the following specifications: a 3.
