NASCAR community reacts after Go Bowling 400 at Kansas

Saturday night was a night of decided mixed emotions at Kansas Speedway, which staged a tremendous Go Bowling 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.

On the one hand, the race was thrilling, with Martin Truex Jr. coming on late to score his second victory of the season in the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota.

On the other hand, the thoughts and prayers of the entire NASCAR community are with Aric Almirola, who had to be cut out of his Richard Petty Motorsports Ford after a savage crash with Joey Logano and Danica Patrick.

Almirola spent the night in a Kansas City hospital, where he was reported to be awake and alert.
