MSU basketball retains key assistant coach Jon Borovich

For a second time this offseason, Michigan State basketball will retain one of its top assistant coaches from leaving for a mid-major head coaching gig.

Tony Paul of The Detroit News is reporting that Central Michigan will hire Ferris State head coach Andy Bronkema for the same role with the Chippewas. This is significant news for the Spartans as Michigan State assistant coach Jon Borovich was considered the other finalists for the position.

Borovich just wrapped up his third season with the Spartans and is quickly becoming one of the most important members of the Spartans' basketball program.
