BRISTOL, Tenn. — The one NASCAR track that couldn't afford a rainout this season is Bristol Motor Speedway, but the track continued to battle rain Sunday morning after its popular Saturday night race was rained out.
The Bass Pro Shops/NRA 500 was postponed after just 48 laps Saturday night and is scheduled to go green at 1 p.m. ET Sunday, but more the Sunday forecast also does not look good. NASCAR and it's teams woke up to more rain Sunday morning and it was raining steadily at the track at 10 a.m. According to the Weather Chanel, there is an 80 percent chance of rain throughout the day, with a 65 percent chance around 1 p.
