The family of a Morgan State football player who died in 2014 from heat stroke-related issues is suing the school.
The lawsuit said the death of Marquese D. Meadow, an 18-year-old freshman offensive lineman at the time, was the result of a “punishment practice." It was filed in Baltimore City Circuit Court on Tuesday,

“This is a tragedy that should have been avoided,” attorney Laurence A. Marder, who represents Meadow's mother, told the Baltimore Sun.
