Morehead State coach Sean Woods has been suspended with pay while the school completes an investigation following complaints that were filed recently with the university.
"Resulting from complaints received, the institution has begun an investigation involving the head basketball coach," Morehead State's Athletic Director, Brian Hutchinson said in a release. "While we continue through the formal process, we believe it is prudent to suspend the coach until the investigation is finished."
The nature of the complaints that were filed have not been released, however according to a report from WTVQ's Kennedy Hardman, Morehead State players are petitioning the NCAA with arguments of mistreatment and a hostile environment for reasons to transfer and be eligible immediately at a different university.
