INDIANAPOLIS — Juan Pablo Montoya entered the room for his post-race press conference Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway wearing a hat that read “99th Indy 500 Champion.”
A more accurate hat would’ve read “The best racer of his time.
Montoya has won two Indianapolis 500s, the Monaco Grand Prix, the CART FedEx Championship Series title (while rookie of the year), three Rolex 24 titles and the NASCAR Cup Series rookie of the year title.
