Former Argentina and Barcelona manager Gerardo "Tata" Martino is in talks to become the coach of MLS expansion club Atlanta United, according to ESPNFC. The report also notes that the club has talked with former Seattle and Columbus coach Sigi Schmid, who has won two MLS Cups.

The Argentine tactician, who first made noise as the manager of the Paraguay national team by taking them to the World Cup quarterfinals in 2010, could very well be the club's first coach for its inaugural 2017 season, but the report says that a deal has not been agreed to.
