MLB suspends catcher linked to steroids in Al Jazeera documentary

Free agent catcher Taylor Teagarden was suspended for 80 games by Major League Baseball on Friday for violating baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Teagarden was linked to steroids in an Al Jazeera documentary that also mentioned Peyton Manning, Ryan Howard and Ryan Zimmerman, among other professional athletes.

In the documentary, Teagarden admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs.

“I used it last year, I was very ... I was scared to be honest with you," he said in the footage, via CBS Sports.
