While the Indians enter their ALDS matchup as the higher seed after a better finish to the regular season, the Red Sox are generally favored not only to take the series but to reach the World Series.
Unfortunately for the Indians, a series of injuries to their rotation will force the club to send unseasoned starters to face one of the most potent lineups in baseball. Carlos Carrasco (hand) has been ruled out for the season, while Danny Salazar (forearm) is unlikely to pitch until the ALCS. Corey Kluber (quad) is on the mend, so the Tribe will send Trevor Bauer to start Game 1 with Kluber in Game 2 against Red Sox kingpins Rick Porcello and David Price, respectively.
