MLB playoffs 2016: Francisco Liriano wheeled into ambulance after taking 102 mph liner to head

An already weak Blue Jays bullpen may have another injury to deal with after starter-turned-reliever Francisco Liriano was wheeled into an ambulance after being hit by a 102-mph line drive off the bat of Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez in Game 2 of the AL Division Series Friday in Arlington.

According to USA Today Sports, Liriano was on a stretcher and wearing a neck brace as he was transported from Globe Life Park for further evaluations at a local hospital.

Liriano was able to walk off the field under his own power after he was hit in the eighth inning of Toronto's 5-3 win, but is questionable at best for the remainder of the playoffs.
