After both National League Division Series were knotted up at one game apiece on Sunday, the two AL wild-card teams are looking for road wins in Game 2 on Monday in hopes of evening their series and heading back home for Game 3 with home-field advantage.
In the first game of the day, the Detroit Tigers sent AL Cy Young favorite Tarik Skubal to the hill in Cleveland against the Guardians. The 27-year-old delivered another stellar outing, with seven scoreless innings pitched. Trouble was, the Guardians' pitchers matched all of Skubal's zeros. The game was in a scoreless tie until Kerry Carpenter came through against All-Star closer Emmanuel Clase, putting up Game 2's only runs with a three-run homer in the ninth.
