MLB labor talks turn more productive amid lockout threat, report says

On Tuesday, it was reported major league owners were threatening to lock out players because negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement weren't going fast enough. On Wednesday, it was reported the pace of talks has picked up and progress is being made toward reaching an agreement prior to the Dec. 1 deadline.

Funny how that works. Isn't leverage great?

ESPN.com, citing sources on both sides, reported negotiations took place Tuesday and lasted into the night. One source said there is now "a path to a deal.
