Dan Mullen might get a bit more respect from his Mississippi State players the next time the Bulldogs gather for a conditioning run.
The 43-year-old coach finished the Boston Marathon on Monday despite never having run an organized race of any distance. Mullen covered the 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in 4 hours, 28 minutes, 35 seconds, an average of 10:14 per mile.

Mullen got a sponsor's exemption from adidas to run on behalf of the Mullen Family 36 Foundation, which supports children's charities in Mississippi.
