Miki Sudo didn’t disappoint Saturday. Sudo entered the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest as a heavy favorite to win the women’s competition, and exceeded those lofty expectations.
Sudo, 34, finished with 48 1/2 hot dogs. That figure broke the record for the most hot dogs eaten during the women’s event. Sudo’s previous personal record was 41 hot dogs. With the win, Sudo passed Takeru Kobayashi, who won six Nathan’s contests.
It was Sudo’s seventh straight win at the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.
No fans, no problem! Miki Sudo breaks the all-time women’s hot dog eating record with 48 1/2 hot dogs in 10 minutes to claim her 7th straight title.
