Kyle Larson capped off a historic weekend for NASCAR.
Not only did he pick up his first career Sprint Cup win by taking the checkered flag in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway, he also qualified for the Chase for the first time. He came up short in his rookie season in 2014, entering the regular-season race 13th in points but not qualifying after Richmond. In 2015, he finished the regular season 19th.
