Michigan State football could lose a key veteran in its secondary.
Defensive back Dillon Tatum announced Monday morning on X, formerly Twitter, that he has entered the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining, a blow for the Spartans two days after they completed spring practice.
A four-star recruit in MSU’s 2022 class, Tatum suffered a lower-body injury in the 2024 season opener against Florida Atlantic. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound former West Bloomfield star chased down Owls running back Zuberi Mobley to the MSU sideline, receiving a 15-yard penalty for a horse-collar tackle as the two players tumbled out of bounds.
