Michael Vick did bad things. He knows he did bad things. He was punished for those bad things. And, by all accounts, he emerged a changed man.
Now, he wants forgiveness — and he should get it.
Vick got a standing ovation Sunday in Atlanta, the city where he made magic on the football field as an electric, game-changing quarterback. In the final regular-season NFL game ever at the Georgia Dome, the crowd welcomed its hero back, even as others seek to keep Vick in an eternal state of punishment.
Vick, as you probably know, was convicted in 2007 of running what was called a “cruel and inhumane” dog-fighting ring.
