Miami quarterback D’Eriq King is coming back for a second season with the Hurricanes.
King announced Saturday that he would return for the 2021 season. The Houston transfer eschewed the NFL after the NCAA gave all football players an extra season of eligibility because of the coronavirus pandemic.
King has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in college football in recent seasons. He has thrown for 22 touchdowns and rushed for four in 2020 as Miami went 8-2 in the regular season. King is 200-of-315 passing for 2,570 yards with five interceptions while also rushing for 520 yards this season.
