Matt Harvey somehow managed to ruffle feathers and find controversy, even though the Mets are several days away from Game 1 of the NLDS, and he isn't scheduled to pitch for a week.
Harvey was the only Mets player late for a workout Tuesday at Citi Field, saying he was held up in traffic on the way to the ballpark, specifically that he was stuck in one of New York's infamous tunnels between the boroughs. Mets manager Terry Collins told him to turn around and go home because he probably would miss the event, but Harvey showed up anyway in order to apologize to teammates and issue a statement.
