In what almost sounds like an April Fools' joke, Meechie Johnson has announced he will transfer back to South Carolina for a second time.
Johnson entered the transfer portal late last week and it didn't take long for him to find his new/old home once again. For those keeping track, Johnson began his career at Ohio State in 2020 where he would spend two years with the Buckeyes. He then transferred to play for the Gamecocks for the next two seasons. He would have his most productive collegiate season in 2023-2024 averaging 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and nearly three assists per game while being named second-team All-SEC.
