Big Ten media days have come and gone, as players and coaches from all 14 teams descended on Indianapolis late last week in what can be labeled as an unofficial start of college basketball season. The league’s strong year in 2020–21 came to a screeching halt in March, when just one of the conference’s nine men's NCAA tournament teams escaped the dance’s opening weekend and that team (Michigan) came up short of the Final Four.
