McLaren not planning a full IndyCar season in 2018

McLaren boss Zak Brown has downplayed a suggestion by IndyCar CEO Mark Miles that the British team is considering a full season in the series in 2018.

Brown made it clear that while he’s open to participation at the Indy 500 next year – with or without Fernando Alonso – it is already getting too late to commit to a full schedule.

“We had a great experience, it’s left a very good taste in our mouth,” Brown said. “I’d like to see McLaren back at the Indy 500 on a regular basis. We have not made that decision yet – and we will in the next couple of months.
