LAS VEGAS — Floyd Mayweather stepped into the ring for what he said was the final time in his Hall of Fame career Saturday night and left with a performance to remember.
Dominating from the outset, Mayweather went out in style with an easy unanimous decision over Andre Berto. Mayweather finishes his career with a 49-0 record, equaling Rocky Marciano. He looked as quick and skillful as ever as he mixed in body shots and pot shots and was jabbing with ease.
The judges scored it 117-111, 118-110 and 120-108.
Afterward, Mayweather, 38, said he would honor what he said coming into the fight and retire.
