Max Holloway stops Jose Aldo to unify UFC featherweight titles

Max Holloway became the undisputed UFC featherweight champion Saturday night, defeating titleholder Jose Aldo by TKO in the third round Saturday night in a title unification bout at UFC 212 in Rio de Janeiro.

Holloway (18-3), who claimed the interim title when he stopped Anthony Pettis in December, extended his winning streak to 11 fights. He hasn't lost since dropping a decision to Conor McGregor in August 2013.

Aldo (26-3) suffered his second loss in his past three fights after winning 18 straight from 2006-2015. Both losses have come in title unification bouts.
